Job Title: Operator 1, Machine
Work Location: Canaan, CT 06018
Pay Rate: $26.00 base + 10% shift differential on W2
Schedule Time: Night Shift (C Crew); 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM on a 12-hour alternating schedule (Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat/Sun/Wed/Fri every 2 weeks).
Note: Mandatory 3-month training on Day Shift prior to transitioning to Night Shift.

Position Summary:

• Performs routine production functions including filling, utility operations, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and inspecting under direct supervision.
• Maintains precise records and logs in strict accordance with FDA (Food and Drug Administration), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and ISO9000 standards.
• Collaborates effectively within a team environment to support daily manufacturing goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily production operations: filling, packing, packaging, assembling, labeling, and visual inspection.
• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing logs per FDA, GMP, and ISO9000 guidelines.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and routine practices.
• Make effective operational decisions relative to position requirements under general supervision.
• Participate in task rotations and cross-training across different processes as needed.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Language & Math: Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English instructions and specifications; ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic manufacturing processes, GMPs, and quality documentation.
• Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, effective communication skills, punctuality, and flexibility to adapt to schedule rotations.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior industrial/manufacturing experience is required.

Additional Information:

• Location Note: Candidates residing within a 45-minute commute of Canaan, CT are strongly preferred.
• Shift Note: Training takes place on the Day Shift for the first 3 months before rotating to the 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Night Shift schedule.
• Pre-Employment: Requires a 10-panel drug screening and background check clearance prior to start.
