As a Patient Access Representative at the Puyallup Tribal Health Authority (PTHA), you play a critical role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and compassionate environment from the very first interaction. As a Patient Access Representative in this fast-paced and dynamic setting, your ability to connect with patients, stay organized, and keep things running smoothly ensures every individual feels supported and valued from the moment they walk through the door. What You’ll Do Create positive first impressions by greeting, checking in, and assisting patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth Deliver outstanding customer service in a high-volume clinical environment Manage patient registration and scheduling, ensuring accuracy and efficiency Maintain electronic health records (EHR) by preparing, verifying, and updating patient information Coordinate appointments and follow-ups, supporting smooth patient flow Verify insurance and eligibility, including DSHS screening and demographic updates Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, routing calls, data entry, scanning, and correspondence Support clinic operations by collaborating across departments and providing coverage as needed Why PTHA?
