Laboratory Technician

Clean Harbors in Newark, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing samples to determine their chemical and physical properties. This is a traditional, white-lab-coat position with no travel required.

Pay: $30.00–$31.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following all policies and procedures and consistently working safely.

Maintain a safe work environment that complies with applicable OSHA regulations and company Health, Safety, and Compliance protocols.

Prepare and analyze samples according to established procedures.

Identify and resolve minor issues related to sample analysis.

Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

Recommend solutions when equipment or analytical issues arise.

Complete all documentation related to laboratory analyses accurately and promptly.

Ensure all work meets applicable quality assurance and quality control guidelines.

Manage laboratory supplies and maintain proper housekeeping and best management practices within the assigned work area.

Properly manage waste generated through analytical procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

One year of specialized training required.

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, physical science, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of mathematics, chemistry, and chemical testing preferred.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
