This is an opportunity to work on challenging and diverse litigation matters, take ownership of your cases, and play a meaningful role in achieving successful outcomes for clients.We are looking for a strong litigator who enjoys developing case strategy, advocating for clients, and working directly with carriers, insureds, experts, and colleagues to deliver practical solutions.Why Join Our Team?Manage your own cases with significant responsibility and autonomy.Work on sophisticated insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.Gain courtroom, deposition, mediation, and arbitration experience.Collaborate with experienced litigation professionals in a supportive environment.Build strong client relationships and become a trusted legal advisor.Enjoy opportunities for professional development, advancement, and long-term career growth.What You'll DoAs an integral member of our litigation team, you will:Manage a diverse portfolio of insurance defense cases through all phases of litigation.Develop and execute effective defense strategies tailored to client objectives.Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other substantive legal documents.Take and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimony.Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.Evaluate claims, assess liability and exposure, and provide strategic recommendations to clients and carriers.Negotiate favorable settlements when appropriate while effectively preparing cases for trial.Collaborate with insurance adjusters, experts, and other stakeholders to build strong defenses.Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding case strategy and developments.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.Strong understanding of insurance law, civil litigation procedures, and defense strategies.Proven ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Preferred ExperienceExperience handling depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.Background in general liability, premises liability, construction, transportation, professional liability, or other complex insurance defense matters.Experience working directly with insurance carriers and claims professionals.Demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and provide exceptional service.The Ideal CandidateYou are a confident, strategic litigator who enjoys advocating for clients, solving complex legal issues, and taking ownership of your work.
