Position Overview The Executive Director is responsible for supervising and managing all community operations, following all Dial, state, and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. This role ensures high quality resident care, operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and maintains a high level of resident, family, and team member satisfaction.

- Responsible for the strategic direction and daily operational oversight of the community.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and team to achieve performance goals.
- Establish and maintain open, effective communication with residents, families, team members, and the management company.
- Maintain and upgrade knowledge and implementation of standards and requirements specified by federal and state laws.
- Foster a culture based on company mission, vision, and values.
- Ensure continuity and consistency in delivery and quality of services across all departments.
- Collaborate on and manage annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met and strategies are implemented to improve performance.
- Monitor occupancy, revenue, and expenses to drive profitability, operating withing parameters established by the management company.
- Ensure collection of all rent and service fees by designated date and ensure deposit in bank, as specified by supervisor.
- Maintain financial records, including petty cash. Participate in accounts receivable and payable functions, as required.
- Authorize purchase of supplies, equipment or services with approvals, as specified by supervisor.
- Maintain a "first impressions" ready community while ensuring readiness for inspections and audits.
- Assume on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis and assign on-call responsibilities to other employees on a rotational basis to ensure after-hours response to resident emergencies and physical plant programs.
- Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
- Address emergencies as they arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Establish a focus and motivation in providing the highest quality of care to all residents.
- Implement approaches and services to maintain and/or enhance resident independence.
- Promptly document concerns brought forth by resident families and team, tracking problem resolution progress.
- Maintain a high degree of resident satisfaction and evaluate resident satisfaction regularly.
- Support occupancy goals through collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
- Positively represent the community to the local area by developing professional contacts in the area and maintaining membership in appropriate community organizations.
- Work in partnership with community Senior Living Advisor to maintain open communication, coordinate tour participation of leadership team, follow up with inquiries and otherwise support sales process as requested by SLA.
- Counsel with prospective residents, their family members, and/or advisors to assist in decision-making as requested by SLA.
- Coordinate all details related to the admission process, move-ins and move-outs.
- Assume final determination on the eligibility for all current residents, prospective residents, and discharges.
- Assume final determination of all concession requests.
- Promote communication and teamwork between all departments.
- Interview, hire, supervise, train and schedule team members, ensuring adequate staffing.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding/training, retention, and performance management, according to state, federal, and/or company standards.
- Conduct regular performance appraisals for all department directors and ensure that each director conducts evaluations of all team members they supervise.
- Carry out, consult, and/or make recommendations regarding any disciplinary action and dismissal of team members when necessary.
- Ensure appropriate handling of on-the-job injuries, as reported by staff.
- Maintain personnel files and personnel reports, per established guidelines.
- Organize and prepare operational reports as directed by supervisor or the management company and submit accurately, within established deadlines.
- Travel as needed for various required company meetings.
- Communicate regularly and thoroughly with the Regional Director and report any major issues promptly.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all Dial personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 2 to 5 years of experience in management and supervision
- Experience or interest in working with older adults
- Demonstrated success in operations management, team leadership, and financial oversight.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements for senior living communities.
- Understanding of various employment and labor laws, including, but not limited to, Family and Medical Leave Act, Minimum Wage, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), ADA, Fair Housing and workers compensation.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of or willingness and ability to learn the computer programs used in the company.
- Travel occasionally for meetings or continuing education.
- Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
