Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant
A growing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and support accurate financial reporting. This role focuses on close activities, reconciliations, and improving financial processes within a project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger activity and review journal entries and subledger postings
- Lead month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Track expenses and ensure proper coding and accuracy
- Support payroll processing and perform periodic payroll reconciliations
- Assist with project financial tracking, including cost analysis and billing review
- Prepare financial data for reporting, budgeting, and audits
- Monitor fixed assets and maintain supporting records
- Identify and improve accounting processes and workflows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with general ledger and project-based accounting
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Deltek experience preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
