Psychiatric Charge RN- Neurobehavior Unit- Night Shift

Overview Shift: Nights 11:00pm – 7:30am. 0.8 FTE (32 hours a week). Every other Friday and Saturday is required. Base rate starts at $39.90, pay commensurate with experience. Night Shift Differential: $4.90. Weekend Differential: $4.70. Job Description Summary Plans, directs, and evaluates overall patient care and functions in a particular area during an assigned shift. Serves as a role model to positively influence culture and work environment. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses. Essential Functions Coordinate the activities of a particular shift and direct, organize, and assign work to employees. Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and utilization of staff. Serve as an expert EPIC Super User. Assess, monitor, and support employees throughout the shift. Facilitate direct patient care through coaching, delegation, and service recovery. Provide direct patient care as needed. Engage in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding quality improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings, then reporting important information and updates back to staff. Ensure regulatory compliance. Institute emergency responses as appropriate. Maintain quality and safety as a priority. Specify the critical resources required to accomplish the team's objectives. Make appropriate staffing decisions with understanding and consideration of workload targets and budget impact. Education & Licensure Education Requirement: BSN, required. Licensure Requirement: Current Ohio Nursing License, required. Certifications BLS, required. Experience Two years nursing experience, preferred.
