Cardiac Catheterization Radiology Technologist

Role Overview: The Cardiology Tech supports invasive cardiovascular procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory by providing technical assistance and basic patient care under RN supervision. Key Responsibilities: Perform patient care tasks such as monitoring, assisting with procedures, and preparing rooms. Support technical aspects by operating specialized equipment, establishing lines, and maintaining supplies. Assist with catheter and sheath removal, patient assessments, and post-procedure instructions. Ensure safety, infection control, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff. Participate in quality improvement, inventory management, and age-specific patient care. Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards. Qualifications include a high school diploma, previous Cath Lab experience, BLS certification, and preferred radiology or Cath Lab credentials. Skills & Conditions: Prolonged standing, patient transfers, use of protective gear, and exposure to bloodborne pathogens and radiation.
