Position Summary

Sunforce Solar is a locally owned solar installer serving Las Cruces and southern New Mexico since 2020. We're hiring Appointment Setters to canvass residential neighborhoods door-to-door, talk with homeowners about their power bills, and schedule qualified appointments for our Solar Consultants.

This is not an 8-to-5. It's a commission-only role with uncapped earnings, built for self-driven people who are comfortable starting conversations with strangers, enjoy working outdoors, and want their effort — not their tenure — to decide their income.

Responsibilities

• Canvass assigned neighborhoods door-to-door on a mapped route, including evenings and Saturdays when homeowners are home.
• Start conversations with homeowners about their power bill and what solar would look like for their home.
• Qualify at the door: homeownership, roof condition, shading, monthly bill, and whether both decision-makers can attend.
• Schedule qualified appointments for Solar Consultants on the spot.
• Confirm appointments so they sit, and follow up on cancellations and no-shows.
• Enter every door, conversation, and appointment into the CRM the same day.
• Represent Sunforce honestly and professionally at every door — our reputation in the community is what you're selling.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly appointment and sit-rate goals.
• Attend training sessions, ride-alongs, and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and genuine comfort talking with people you've just met.
• Resilience — you'll hear "no" all day and knock the next door anyway.
• Self-managed and disciplined; nobody is watching your route.
• Comfortable being outside and on your feet for hours in New Mexico heat.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a smartphone required.
• Door-to-door, canvassing, or commission sales experience preferred (solar, roofing, home services, alarms, pest, fiber, insurance) but not required.
• Spanish is a strong plus.

Compensation

• Commission-only compensation with no cap on earnings.
• Earn commissions on each qualified appointment that results in a completed solar consultation and/or sale (details provided during onboarding).
• Top performers earn significantly more than a typical hourly role — your income is a direct result of your production.
