Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina**Start Date:** October 19, 2026**Location:** Asheville, North Carolina**Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants**Schedule:** Every other weekend required; scheduling based on departmental needs; flexibility to work all sections within the Emergency Department

- 101-bed Emergency Department at a flagship Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center- High-volume ED with over 100,000+ patient visits annually- Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds- Cerner documentation system with GE monitors and Baxter pumps- Support from dedicated techs, unit clerks, and cardiac monitoring staff- Magnet-designated facility recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and holding an "A" Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade

Requirements:

- Active RN license in good standing- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting- Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center experience strongly preferred- Current certifications required before submission: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC- CPI certification required before date of hire- Teamwork mentality with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback- Flexibility to work in all areas of the Emergency Department- Navy scrubs required
