Providing professional interpreting services in healthcare settings, the independent contractor Remote Portuguese Interpreter will conduct assignments via phone or Zoom, offering flexible scheduling based on demand. Key responsibilities Deliver accurate and clear interpretation between Portuguese and English in medical, legal, and community contexts Collaborate effectively with medical professionals, patients, and various stakeholders to meet communication needs Maintain a reliable and professional remote working environment to facilitate assignments Required qualifications Fluency in both Portuguese and English Demonstrated experience in providing interpretation services with high fidelity to original communication Formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances and background checks Access to a reliable phone, computer, and stable high-speed internet connection
