Sales Manager

Purpose of the Role:
This is a hunting role. You will open new accounts and new programs in aerospace defense and space and convert them into booked profitable business for us. Maintaining orders on existing accounts is not the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and work a target list of aerospace primes Tier 1 suppliers and new-space companies where Swiss machining capabilities fit.
Activate your existing network of buyers sourcing leads and engineering contacts to open doors quickly.
Run consistent daily outbound: calls email LinkedIn referrals and follow-up.
Qualify opportunities bring in RFQs and partner with our quoting and engineering team to submit winning margin-sound quotes.
Drive opportunities from first contact through first purchase order including supplier onboarding and qualification steps.
Represent us at trade shows and on-site customer visits.
Keep the CRM current and produce an honest accurate weekly pipeline and forecast.
Hand off landed accounts cleanly to Customer Service for ongoing order fulfillment.

Requirements:

An existing verifiable book of aerospace and defense contacts real relationships with buyers sourcing and supply-chain decision-makers that can produce meetings within weeks not months.
Proven track record of opening new accounts (not just managing existing ones) in precision machining contract manufacturing or closely related aerospace supply.
Demonstrated ability to close new business within a 12-month window.
Comfort with long technical sales cycles RFQ processes and supplier qualification.
Eligibility to work on ITAR-controlled programs (U.S. person).

Strongly preferred

Familiarity with AS9100 ITAR and CMMC requirements as they affect buyer decisions.
Background selling Swiss-turned or complex CNC components.
Existing relationships in the new-space sector (launch satellites).

Compensation

Base salary: $xxxx per year.
Commission: 3% of revenue on new accounts and new programs. Uncapped.
