Advanced Quality Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONSUMMARYThe Advanced Quality Engineer will lead a cross-functional team for a new product launch by providing quality assurance support and refining production methods. Must be able to able to analyze data to provide CI improvement and will conduct audits to determine corrective and preventative action.RESPONSIBILITIESLead a cross functional team within SDT ensuring application issues are closed before first customer part requirementDevelop the Prototype, Pre Production and Production Control Plans for the programDevelop the Measurement System Analysis Plan for the program. Responsible to ensure variable and attribute Gage studies are conducted on all gauging and improve Gage R&R where data indicates needImplementation of the Manufacturing Quality Systems for the prototype, pre-production. And production builds as defined in BOS and/or specified on the Production Control PlanCompletion of inspection reports for components that are used for pre-production product buildsPerform capability studies and document the results for all program special characteristics ensuring that Customer and internal requirements are metResponsible for color/appearance approval from pre-grain to PPAP, including proper Customer submission paperwork.Responsible to coordinate the preparation and on-time delivery of PPAP packages for submission and approval by CustomerCoordinate with the SAQE the preparation and on time delivery of supplier quality deliverables including control plans, capability plans, capability studies, part layouts, gage design, gage R&R, PFMEA, and DFMEAEnsure statistical methods are utilized throughout the Product and Process Development process and deployed into the Control PlanEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE5 years of minimum experience in Quality disciplines including ISO/TS 16949, Continuous Improvement, Total Quality Management, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.
