Bulk ReceiverTo receive on radio frequency monitors (RF) and stock or split out freight from Freight lines using forklifts.Education: High school diploma or GEDExperience: 3-12 months preferredKey Responsibilities:Receive FreightEnter the P.O. number, or scan a UPC code to find the P.O.Log the P.O. if not already loggedScan item and enter quantity receivedPull items for split out And load and scan onto pallets items for stock need to be put on shelf and scanned to shelfScan ID on the pallets/shelvesIf needed, place tickets on items that do not have UPC'sRequest price tickets per buyer instructionsDeliver items marked to attention of a buyer, advertising, etc.Send Out Direct Bill ItemsSort by storesPut direct billing stickers on with information completedComplete direct bill packing list and turn into officePack cases on palletsBuild PalletsPack merchandise nearly on palletsEnsure that heavy items are lowest on palletShrink wrap pallets tightlyLabel pallets with store number and bar codeMove pallets using electric or hand pallet jack to staging areaLoad And Unload TrucksUsing pallet jacks, fork lifts, etc. load/unload merchandiseClean UpSweep floorMove palletsEmpty trash cans and dumpstersOther Duties as Requested by ManagementHelp in other areas of warehouse when neededAny other tasks as assigned by managementAssist with training of new associatesEnsure receiving staging area is kept orderly (pallets arranged by date received)Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:ADMINISTRATIVE: Checking work, Coaching/counseling, Record-keeping, Reporting, Supervising, TrainingCLERICAL: Filing, Proofreading, Ten-keyMATHEMATICAL: Calculating, Problem solving, Projections, ReasoningMECHANICAL: Maintenance, RepairingREADING: Basic, Correspondence, TechnicalWRITING: Basic, Correspondence, MemosKNOWLEDGE LEVEL: BasicPhysical Demands:Frequent physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs., walking, standing, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, kneeling, dexterity and light grasping. Occasional physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs. and climbing stairs. The associate is required to talk and hear. Must be able to work required shifts and maintain attendance standards. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision adequate for the incumbent to perform the responsibilities and functions of the job efficiently. The associate must have the manual dexterity to manually operate and use a computer, and a RF handheld scanner.Work Environment and Working Conditions:Work will normally be performed inside of a warehouse facility. Temperatures can vary from 32 degrees to 100 degrees. The work environment is usually fast paced with regular deadlines. Extreme noise and vibrations may occasionally be experienced. Associates may be subjected to hazards such as burns, cuts, strains, electrical, explosive, and mechanical. Due to the nature of the work, associates may be exposed to atmospheric conditions such as dust fumes, odors, and poor ventilation.
