Holland Public Schools, located in Holland Michigan, is seeking a Speech and Language Pathologist. The district has four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school and has an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. Holland Public Schools has a diverse student population with approximately 47% Latinx, 9% Black, 6% Multiracial, 3% Asian and 35% White and approximately 64% free and reduced lunch. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following:

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders that impede access to or progress within the school environment per MARSE guidelines.
• Develop and implement effective individualized Education Programs (IEP's).
• Provide counseling to students and student's families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.
• Establish understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment with caseload students.
• Create accurate documentation and reporting for all student therapeutic treatment including Medicaid billing.
• Maintain communication with school staff and community-based providers/collaborators.
• Work to maintain ongoing supports with general education teaching staff through activities like Child Study Team.
• This role requires partnership with other diagnostic team members as well as general education and special education teaching staff.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an approved college or university in speech and language.
• Current ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) certification
• Current licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist through the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) of Michigan.
• Active CPI certification or an understanding that certification or re-certification is required during this upcoming academic year.
• Ability to work well with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to demonstrate mature judgment and moral and ethical behavior.
• Ability to project a positive outlook, manner and appearance.
• Must meet the requirement of School Safety Legislation 2005 PA 139, 138 - Complete FBI fingerprints required.
