The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effectively with a diverse team, and demonstrate a commitment to patient care.Job DetailsShift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)Shift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekendHoliday Requirement: RequiredUnit InformationUnit Type: TelemetryNumber of Beds: 25Staffing Ratios: 5-6 patients per RNPatient Diagnoses: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Diabetes, Pneumonia (PNA), Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Med/Surg TeleResponsibilitiesThe Telemetry RN will be responsible for:Monitoring and interpreting telemetry readings to manage patient care effectively.Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, including titrating Heparin drips.Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Educating patients and families on health management and discharge planning.Documenting patient information accurately using the Paragon Charting System, transitioning to EPIC in the near future.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Tele nursing experience.Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Skills: Excellent communication and time management abilities. Experience in a rural healthcare setting is preferred.Additional Requirements: Ability to read EKG strips and collaborate with telemetry monitor technicians.Additional InformationCandidates must be adaptable and prepared to float to all Med/Surg units as needed.
