Compliance Specialist

A client of Insight Global's is looking to add a Compliance Specialist to their team on a contract to hire basis. The right individual will be comfortable working fully-onsite (5 days per week) in Fresno, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for account management, collections, processing of documents for the purpose of local business tax collection, and taxpayer consultation. Responsibilities:
- Call center monitoring
- Conduct taxpayer consultation within the call center environment
- Process applications, statements, and any other documents received
- Perform calculations on business tax invoices
- Collect outstanding balances
- Conduct outbound calls for account information retrieval and follow up
- Perform maintenance of accounts and preparation of payment batches
- General office duties including filing, scanning of documents, and other general functions
- Utilize data to identify and notify non-compliant clients
- Prepare company outbound correspondence via USPS and private courier

Required Skills & Experience
- Must be able to work at a computer several hours a day, five days a week.
- Attention to detail; ability to compare and recognize discrepancies in data.
- Moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Moderate degree of analysis, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to act in accordance with company policies/regulations.


Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Associates degree preferred, or the equivalent amount of related experience.
- Comprehension of city municipal codes to determine tax liabilities within assigned jurisdictions.
