Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ years experience and PA state licensure for a night shift hospital position.

Job Details

• Provides respiratory services across a variety of patient populations, including pediatric patients over 13 seen in the ED,
• Performs bedside bronchoscopy procedures,
• Utilizes specialized equipment including Servo I/U, Hamilton C1, V60, Air Sense/Air Curve, INO Max, OptiFlow, Airvo, Micro Max, Panda Warmer, and Boston Scientific Exhault for bronchoscopy,
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15,
• Works every other weekend,
• 1:1 patient ratio setting,

Job Requirements

• Current PA state license required in hand prior to start,
• BLS certification required,
• ACLS certification preferred,
• RRT certification required,
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required,
• Experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings,
• Skilled in ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation,
• Proficient in airway management including intubation/extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care,
• Skilled in arterial blood gas draws and interpretation,
• Experience with high flow nasal cannula, trach collar, and nebulizer therapies,
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred,
• License required if applicable,

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,
• RTO requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis,
• Approximately 4 hours of non-billable orientation modules must be completed prior to start,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,
• Former Guthrie Healthcare System employees must be separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
