Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Kansas-licensed hospitalists for a locum tenens role at a regional hospital in Topeka, Kansas. This position offers the opportunity to provide inpatient care within a well-established hospital setting, supporting a team of MDs and APCs with Epic EMR and a balanced patient census.

Opportunity Details
Location: Topeka, Kansas

Setting: Community Hospital
Coverage: Starting October 1, 2026, and ongoing for 6+ months

Schedule Details

• Night shifts only, 7p-7a
• Approximately 14 shifts per month
• No night call required

Clinical Scope

• Inpatient hospitalist duties including management of acute medical and traumatic presentations
• Collaboration with intensivists and APCs in a closed ICU environment
• Managing admissions, discharges, and transfers
• No procedures required, vents and codes are supported
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred

Requirements

• Active Kansas medical license or approved IMLC
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in ABFM or ABIM/AOBIM
• ACLS certification required
• No procedures required, supervision responsibilities include APCs
• Willing to work all night shifts and support long-term coverage
