Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PT, Wkd Nights (Non-NICU)

Position Respiratory Therapist II – Night Shift (United States of America) Facility Wellstar Kennestone Hospital Hours Part‑time nights, 7 p.m.–7 a.m., weekends starting on Friday (24 hrs per week) Responsibilities Administer medications and implement respiratory care using an evaluate‑and‑treat approach Deliver patient care in complex, multi‑problem situations, primarily in critical care areas Perform protocol ventilator management and independent decision‑making Educate patients, families/support systems, and coordinate activities and staff development Provide patient, family, and peer education addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial needs Assist with invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing Verify orders and administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen and medical gas therapy Perform ventilator management, weaning, waveform graphic interpretation, airway management (intubation, extubation, trach tube change and care) Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis Promote teamwork, positive work environment, and student and staff support Maintain accurate electronic orders, charting, and charging; promote medication safety and performance improvement initiatives Required Minimum Experience 0–2 years clinical experience; at least 6 months in critical care Required Minimum Skills Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to establish and maintain relationships with physicians and other health‑care professionals Computer skills with familiarity with medical databases Strong customer relation, assessment, and communication skills Required Minimum Licenses and Certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Respiratory Care Professional (RP) Basic Life Support (BLS) BLS – Instructor BLS – Provisional Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ACLS – Instructor ACLS – Provisional #J-18808-Ljbffr Wellstar Health Systems, Inc.
