Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a meaningful opportunity supporting early learners as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in a preschool environment. This contract role is tailored for individuals passionate about making a direct impact through one-on-one engagement with young students. The position is structured for mornings only, Monday through Thursday, offering a balanced workweek and the chance to shine in a supportive setting. Immediate openings available.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a related educational support role
- Current RBT certification or the ability to obtain one promptly
- Comfortable and enthusiastic working one-on-one with preschool-aged students
- Familiarity with implementing individualized education or behavior plans, especially for young learners
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Work directly with an assigned preschool student in a 1:1 setting, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment
- Implement behavior intervention strategies and personalized support plans
- Assist with classroom activities and routine transitions as needed
- Collect and maintain data on student progress and behavior
- Communicate effectively with teachers, specialists, and parents/guardians
- Uphold professional standards and ensure student safety at all times
