Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse Outpatient Surgery Center, located in Vermont. This position involves providing postoperative care to adult and geriatric surgical and procedure patients, with a focus on assessment, IV therapy, patient education, and seamless patient discharge processes. The role requires strong multitasking skills, effective communication, and experience in PACU and outpatient surgery settings.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required; Vermont licensed RN.
• Education: Current RN license.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience, with specific experience in same-day surgery, outpatient facilities, and admitting/discharge procedures required.
• Location: Vermont.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional qualifications: Ability to work in a rural outpatient environment and with Cerner EMR system.
• Responsibilities include patient admission and discharge, assessment, IV starts, and assisting in operating room preparations. The candidate must have own vehicle, as public transport is unavailable in the community.
• Travel experience highly preferred.
• Candidate must be able to work scheduled call days, including weekends, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years.
• Requests for time off during the assignment must be specified at submission; no more than five days of request will be considered.
• All scheduling and RTO requests are to be made at the time of submission, with detailed profile information including full work history, skills, and current license.
