Computed Tomography Technologist

The role involves performing high-quality computed tomography imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver accurate diagnostic results. Competitive full-time compensation and a supportive clinical environment are offered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic CT scans and imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate CT scanners and related radiologic imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Administer contrast media as appropriate and in accordance with facility policies and provider orders
• Review patient history and physician orders prior to performing examinations
• Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
• Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to minimize unnecessary radiation exposure
• Evaluate images for positioning, quality, and diagnostic accuracy before submitting for interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Assist with maintaining CT equipment, supplies, and a safe imaging environment
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients regarding procedures
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical professionals

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required
• Current or eligible Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification/licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques, anatomy, radiation safety, and patient positioning
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Skills:

• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred or required
• CT imaging experience strongly preferred
• Experience in a hospital or acute-care imaging environment highly desirable
