You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for construction projects, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will work closely with project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth financial operations throughout all stages of construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices from vendors and subcontractors, reconcile accounts, and manage payments. Generate invoices for clients and track receivables.
• Payroll Processing: Calculate and process payroll for construction staff and subcontractors, including verifying hours worked, deductions, and taxes.
• Job Costing: Maintain detailed records of project expenses, including materials, labor, and equipment costs. Track project budgets and compare actual costs to estimates.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Provide regular financial updates to management and stakeholders.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and industry standards. Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction accounting, AIA billing, and bookkeeping
• Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software - QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Excel. Experience with construction-specific software such as Procore or BuilderTREND is a plus
