Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Sierra Mental Care Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting therapeutic sessions with couples, individuals, and families, tailoring interventions and collaborative approaches to suit their specific needs.

• Utilizing evidence-based practices to address a range of challenges, including but not limited to relationship issues, communication difficulties, grief and loss, and familial conflicts.

• Performing thorough assessments of clients’ mental health conditions and creating individualized treatment plans that reflect their goals and therapeutic needs.
\n
• Facilitating workshops or support groups as required, contributing to both individual and community mental health awareness and education.
\n
• Regularly documenting progress notes and treatment plans in compliance with organizational standards and health regulations.
\n
• Participating in ongoing professional development, supervision, and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and align with the organization’s best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele that may include adults and adolescents encountering a variety of challenges such as:

• Alcohol and substance abuse.
\n
• Physical and psychological abuse recovery.
\n
• Grief and loss issues impacting family dynamics.
\n
• Interpersonal conflicts among family members, including siblings and parent-child relationships.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Illinois.
