We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Estates Records & CAD Officer to join our Space Management Team within Estates, Facilities & Capital Development. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the University's digital estate transformation by ensuring the accuracy, quality, and accessibility of estate information, technical drawings, and building records across our diverse estate portfolio. About the Role Reporting to the Space Data Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the University's estate drawings, space records, and digital building information. You will manage AutoCAD drawings, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) records, and project-related documentation, ensuring information is accurate, compliant, and available to support operational delivery, estate planning, maintenance, capital projects, and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with colleagues across Estates, Facilities & Capital Development, as well as external consultants and contractors, to ensure estate information is maintained to agreed standards and integrated into the University's developing digital estate environment. Key Responsibilities Create, update, and maintain accurate AutoCAD drawings and estate records. Manage Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings and associated documentation. Coordinate the receipt, validation, and integration of as-built information from projects. Support the development and maintenance of the University's digital estate information systems and Common Data Environment (CDE). Ensure compliance with CAD, BIM, document control, and information governance standards. Support the maintenance of accurate space records and operational estate data. Undertake quality assurance audits to improve the accuracy and consistency of estate information. Provide technical drawing and spatial information to support operational and project activities across the University. About You You will have experience managing CAD drawings and estate information within a built environment and possess excellent attention to detail. You will be comfortable working with technical information and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. You should be able to demonstrate: Significant experience using AutoCAD in a built environment setting. Experience maintaining accurate estate drawings and records. Knowledge of building services drawings and M&E information. Strong document management and information governance skills. Experience working with contractors, consultants, and project teams. Excellent organisational and communication skills. A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement. Experience of BIM principles, Autodesk Docs, SharePoint, and digital information management environments would be advantageous. Why Join Us?
