Project Manager

Job Summary LRE (Leeward Renewable Energy) is seeking an experienced Project Manager (P4) to lead late-stage development, construction, and commissioning of renewable energy projects, including solar, solar/BESS, stand‑alone BESS, and wind. The role is remote with minimum 50% travel. Essential Functions Lead project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. Lead stakeholder engagement and reporting to keep stakeholders informed and accountable. Promote and ensure compliance with LRE safety standards across all suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Oversee project budgets, cash flow, and related financial workstreams. Manage contractors and suppliers contractual obligations, including change order oversight and risk mitigation. Lead cross‑functional teams during RFP, contracting, construction, and commercial operations, coordinating regulatory, development, safety, environmental, finance, accounting, engineering, utility/transmission, originations, senior leadership, and legal functions. Interface with project team members to track issues, facilitate solutions, and expedite resolution. Maintain clear communication and documentation throughout all project phases. Identify, deploy, and manage a high‑performing onsite construction and commissioning team. Track and report weekly and monthly project progress to internal stakeholders. Support late‑stage development activities such as constructability analysis, EPC estimates, financial and permitting support. Support PPA and LGIA negotiations and execution as requested. Qualifications Strong understanding of construction safety requirements; OSHA 30‑Hour qualification preferred. Experience managing construction QA/QC programs on renewable energy projects. Minimum of 6 years of renewable energy experience or completion of at least 3 wind, BESS, and/or solar farm construction projects as project manager from EPC contracting through commercial operation. In‑depth knowledge of at least three of the following: civil construction, structural/foundation construction, electrical construction, turbine erection/solar module assembly, testing & commissioning, project financial/tax equity closes, and achieving utility commercial operation designations. Experience with renewable energy project contracts (EPC/BOP, testing & commissioning, turbine, module, battery supplier agreements). Extensive project management skills with a record of success on complex projects. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling (critical path, predecessor/successor, change analysis). Strong managerial and leadership skills. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management, or equivalent experience. Physical Demands Must be able to work in high‑stress environments, sit for extended periods, occasionally lift or pull items up to 50 lbs, and work in demanding physical and inclement weather conditions.
