Warehouse Lead

Summary Description Requires employee to lead and coordinate activities. Responsible for performing any single task or combination of tasks for any position within the department, including inventory control, auditing, delegating expeditor tasks, establishing a cross‑functional team, adhering to standard work, and distributing that to the team and others as assigned. Essential Duties Review production schedule and work orders for the day. Assure that all moveable stock (PITs) are in working condition and escalation work orders for items that need repair. Print daily expeditor sheets and communicate to the team what is to be executed. Help facilitate continuous change while implementing new projects and tools. Verify scrap levels and report daily. Report to supervisor. Monitor work area to ensure Hörmann policies and procedures are followed. Assure quality standards are met for finished products and escalated to QC or supervisorial attention as needed. Understand all tasks for each position so that thorough training can be achieved and improved upon as needed. Essential Job Skills And Experience High School Diploma or GED. 2–3 years of specific or transferable experience required. Previous lead and warehouse experience preferred but not required. Skills/Knowledge Required Ability to lead others. Ability to work independently and with a team. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to multi‑task. Able to lift less than 50 lbs without assistance and more than 50 lbs using a team‑lift. Must be a problem solver and positive team member. Able to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Good hand‑eye coordination. Physical Environment / Working Conditions This position involves standing, walking, lifting for long periods throughout the day. The warehouse is not climate controlled, requiring the employee to dress appropriately. Work is performed in an area where mechanical machinery, parts, or vibration may be present. Specific Vision Requirements Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
