We are dedicated to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and dignity.Our Culture:Our culture is cultivated using the following values:Integrity: We are honest and professional.Trust: We count on each other.Excellence: We strive to always do our best and look for ways to improve and excel.Accountability: We accept responsibility for our actions, attitudes, and mistakes.Mutual Respect: We treat others the way we want to be treated.On an Average Day You Will:(Includes, but not limited to)Will perform after hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.Follow up on phone calls by either directing the phone call to the DPCS, RN Clinical Supervisor/Manager or RN Case Manager and/or taking care of the need immediately per scope of practiceDispatch field nurses and other appropriate staff to patient's residence in a timely mannerRe-fill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and assist in any other coordination needed by the patients and familiesDocument calls, conversations and outcomes of call-in software systemReceive start-of-shift report and give end-of-shift report in accordance with the location workflowAll other duties as assignedRequirements:Must be a Registered Nurse with knowledge of hospice, telephone triage preferredMust have a current licensure in good standing with the stateMust understand the philosophy of hospice concept and understand needs of the terminally illMust be flexible in work hoursMust show aptitude of computer data entry and the use of current software systems, such as word processing, spreadsheets and projectsMust possess the ability to deal with stressful situations, as well as grieving familiesMust demonstrate nursing skills per competency checklistMust demonstrate a willingness to maintain comprehensive working knowledge regarding information systems and applicable software programsAbility to travel throughout the Bristol Hospice Service AreaMust be able to lift heavy items on a frequent basisMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance and must be able to spend a prolonged amount of time standing, walking, bending and stretchingJoin a Team that embraces the reverence of life!EEOC StatementBristol Hospice is an equal-opportunity employer.
