Freedom Center Operations and Events Student Worker

The Social Media Scheduler is a student worker position who will work with the Social Media Manager to represent the Standing for Freedom Center in producing genuine, quality, and informative content to share across Freedom Center social media accounts. The Social Media student worker will assist with the creation and scheduling of weekly content that highlights current issues through the lens of Scripture for the purpose of helping others know how to better defend their faith.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Connect social media followers to Standing for Freedom Center Provide resources and stories on topics prevalent to the goals of the Freedom Center Use platform to inform followers of Biblical perspectives on cultural and societal issues. Share information in a trustworthy, credible, and professional manner Raise awareness of the Standing for Freedom Center on various social media platforms Work to boost audience response by engaging with followers, tracking hashtags, responding to comments, and creating interactive content Report to Standing for Freedom Center Executive Directors and leadership of Liberty University

QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS

Familiarity with using various social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Self-starter, goal-orientated professional who adheres to guidelines and schedule for social media presence Personable and able to foster working relationships with partners and colleagues. Strong grasp of cultural and political issues that are at the forefront of public consciences and media focus Comfortable being featured on social media channels Demonstration of strong agreement with the mission, policy, and advocacy of the Freedom Center Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups Time Type Time Type Part time Location Onsite Pay Rate Starting at $12.77 Student employees are paid at least the current Virginia minimum wage per hour.
