Position Overview Perpetual Help Behavioral Health Center is looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team. Work Environment The position allows for a remote work setting, leveraging technology to connect with clients virtually. Our telehealth facility ensures that you have all the necessary tools at your disposal, including an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, to efficiently document and manage client interactions from anywhere. Key Responsibilities Client Assessments: Conduct thorough client assessments, understanding their mental health conditions and histories through engaging consultations. Therapeutic Planning: Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Regular Sessions: Hold regular counseling sessions, using techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and solution-focused therapy to guide clients toward recovery. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, referring clients to additional resources as needed, including psychiatric evaluations. Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment outcomes within the electronic health record system. Patient Population / Client Focus In your role as a counselor, you will work with a wide array of clients facing challenges related to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, requiring a high level of cultural competence and sensitivity in therapy. Qualifications Education: A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Licensure: A current and valid license as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois. Experience: A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, preferably in a telehealth or virtual setting. Therapeutic Knowledge: In-depth understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and commitment to culturally responsive care. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with a diverse clientele. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health record systems and basic computer applications. Preferred Experience Experience providing both individual and group therapy. Strong background in crisis intervention and management, utilizing de-escalation techniques as necessary. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Compensation and Benefits The salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
