Job Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a mixture of standardized tests and observational techniques.
- Create customized treatment strategies to meet both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions with a focus on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehab.
- Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to cultivate a unified care approach.
- Educate patients and their families to ensure continued progress beyond the therapy environment.
- Support inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions from time to time, ensuring seamless care throughout the recovery journey.
- Uphold meticulous and timely documentation adhering to state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest innovations in the field.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
