Accounting Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for inventory accounting, cost analysis, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory experience in a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of standard costing and inventory controls. Key Responsibilities Maintain and analyze inventory balances, reserves, and reconciliations Perform monthly inventory rollforwards and account reconciliations Analyze inventory variances, including purchase price, labor, and manufacturing variances Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and financial analyses Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and processes Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts Review and maintain standard costs and support cost updates Prepare reports related to inventory valuation, gross margins, and product costing Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Support audits by providing inventory and cost accounting documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution Strong inventory accounting experience required Experience with standard costing and variance analysis Advanced Excel skill ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred CPA or CMA is a plus Ideal Background Experience working in manufacturing, consumer products, life sciences, or distribution environments Hands‑on experience with inventory management and physical inventory process Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and process improvement Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
