Business Development Manager

Global Food Manufacturer is looking for a Bilingual (English and Spanish) Business Development Manager. This position will be responsible for identifying market opportunities to drive the development of new products, potential clients, and territories. Responsibilities Market Research The BDM conducts market analysis to identify new business opportunities in different territories or market segments. This includes studying the competitors, consumer demand, market trends, etc. Potential markets include Arizona, Oklahoma, Minnesota, South Carolina, etc. Strategic Market Entry Plan with Product Portfolio Develops strategies to enter new markets or launch new products. Customer Engagement and Professional Networking Establishes and maintains relationships with key partners, potential clients, and other stakeholders in new territories. This may involve negotiating and closing deals, forming strategic alliances, and participating in business networks and industry events. Includes small distributors/direct and indirect retailers. Training and Development Trains and develops the marketing team in developed territories on the characteristics of the new market or product, sales strategies, and cultural adaptations necessary for success in the new territory. Monitoring and Evaluation Once expansion strategies are implemented, the BDM must monitor performance and make adjustments as needed to ensure the company’s objectives are met. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing roles, preferably in the food industry. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Results-oriented with the ability to meet sales and growth targets. Strong understanding of lead generation methods and business growth strategies. Bilingual English and Spanish required.
