Requirements 5+ years of experience specializing in a wide range of projects including office, K‑12, colleges, airports, land port of entry, courthouses, laboratories, commercial fit‑outs, hotels, hospitals, and mixed‑use facilities. Experience estimating in various formats (UNIFORMAT) and divisions (CSI). Understanding of cost databases such as RS Means. ASPE or AACEI Certification preferred. Pass a HSPD‑12 background check. Able to work on a client site in the DC metro area. Proficient in on‑screen take‑off (OST) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) – required. Preferred credentials: MII (MCACES), SUCCESS Estimator, GSA Cost Estimating Workbook. Responsibilities And Duties Perform change order estimates. Prepare market research studies for cost estimating. Develop a basis of scope for bidding and estimating purposes. Provide estimating services covering conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction‑level estimates. Prepare Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) for construction projects, AE studies, or maintenance work during the planning phase. Track and compare planned vs. actual time and cost results and recommend corrective actions for positive or negative variances. Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing. Develop RFIs and clarifications to ensure adequate subcontractor coverage. Benefits Salary commensurate with experience.
