Laboratory Specimen Processor - Mon-Fri 10pm-6:30am

Laboratory specimen processor responsible for accessioning, data entry, and specimen handling in a clinical diagnostic setting. Night shift position (10pm-6:30am, Monday-Friday) requiring proficiency with laboratory information systems and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform data entry in laboratory information management systems and specimen tracking platforms
- Examine specimens for accuracy, proper type, stability, and volume requirements
- Label and route samples to appropriate laboratory areas
- Resolve patient demographic discrepancies and coordinate with internal/external contacts
- Maintain quality control records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specimen processing experience in clinical laboratory setting preferred
- Minimum 30 words per minute typing speed
- 1 year data entry experience with strong database skills preferred
- Ability to handle raw specimens and maintain confidentiality
- Physical capability to stand 4+ hours and lift up to 25 pounds
- Proficiency with PC-based software and LIMS systems
