Position 1: Chemical Handler

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical cleaning and etching of sheet metal aircraft components.
• Clean parts using hand wiping, detergent/pressure wash, vibro cleaning, vapor degreasing, solvent washing, alkaline/caustic cleaning, and nitric acid etching.
• Mix chemicals as per specifications; monitor temperatures, process codes, and limits.
• Read manufacturing plans, sketches, and safety procedures.
• Process work per manufacturing instructions and identify/report process issues.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools.
• Complete production documentation and time records accurately.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Entry-level candidates welcome (training provided).
• Ability to work in a chemical processing environment.

Position 2: Shop Support (Assembler)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support assembly, fit-up, welding, forming, and machine operations.
• Perform scribing, trimming, sanding, polishing, drilling, punching, sizing, and deburring using hand and power tools.
• Clean metal parts through hand wiping, solvent washing, and alkaline/caustic cleaning.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, jigs, and fixtures.
• Read manufacturing instructions, sketches, and follow all quality and safety standards.
• Detect and report faulty operations.
• Assist with purchasing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment while supporting process improvements.
• Train others when required and perform work under direct supervision.
• Use basic shop mathematics, precision instruments, and machine tools.

Physical & Working Requirements (Both Positions):

• Lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, and material handling.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, face shield/body garments, and respirator (where applicable).
