Medical Scheduler / Patient Access Representative

Location: Eureka, CA (100% Onsite)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Scheduler / Patient Access Representative to join a well-established and reputable healthcare system in Eureka. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—helping create a positive and seamless experience from check-in to registration.

• Check in and register patients efficiently and accurately
• Collect and verify patient demographics and photo identification
• Verify insurance coverage and confirm eligibility
• Determine payment options (self-pay vs. assistance programs)
• Explain consent forms and provide admissions paperwork
• Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to also work independently

• Onsite position in Eureka, CA
• Alternate Work Schedule (AWS): 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Days: Likely Monday–Thursday (subject to change)

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Eureka, CA.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
