Associate - Telecom & Wireless [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Associate – Telecom & Wireless based in the United States.

This role is designed for a developing mid-level consultant specializing in telecom and wireless systems within the built environment, combining technical engineering work with growing project ownership.
You will contribute to the design and coordination of structured cabling, ICT, and low-voltage systems across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
The position blends hands-on technical delivery—such as drawings, calculations, and specifications—with increasing responsibility for client interaction and project coordination.
You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and project leads while progressively taking ownership of smaller project scopes.
The role also emphasizes coordination excellence, ensuring designs are aligned across disciplines and meet high documentation standards.
In addition, you will support client engagement, helping build trust through clear communication and reliable delivery.

Accountabilities

• Lead and support telecom and wireless system design tasks, including layouts, documentation, calculations, and coordinated engineering deliverables.
• Translate design intent into clear, constructible drawings and specifications for structured cabling, ICT, and low-voltage systems.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and design partners to ensure alignment across disciplines and resolve technical and documentation conflicts.
• Participate in BIM coordination and design review processes, supporting clash detection, model review, and cross-discipline integration.
• Manage small project scopes independently while supporting larger projects under the guidance of senior engineers and project leads.
• Contribute to client meetings and coordination discussions by preparing inputs, documenting decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
• Support continuous improvement of internal workflows, documentation practices, and telecom system standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in telecom/low-voltage design.
• 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry with exposure to telecom, ICT, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, with experience producing coordinated models and construction documentation across multiple projects.
• Understanding of engineering principles for technology systems, including ability to support calculations, device layouts, and technical design tasks.
• Experience with coordination tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Asana, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, organization, and documentation discipline.
• Preferred certifications include EIT, CDT, RCDD, or PE (not required but highly valued).
