Bookkeeper

Location: Ooltewah, Tennessee | Employment Type: Full-Time NOT REMOTE Compensation: Competitive pay based on experience Position Overview WCM Roofing is seeking an organized and dependable Bookkeeper to manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records, and support the company’s administrative and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, and experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting. Experience in roofing, construction, insurance restoration, or another project-based business is preferred. Record and categorize daily financial transactions. Manage accounts payable, vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and payment documentation. Prepare customer invoices and monitor accounts-receivable balances. Follow up on outstanding customer payments and assist with collection efforts. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and other financial accounts. Process deposits and accurately apply customer payments. Assist with payroll preparation, employee records, and payroll-related reporting. Maintain subcontractor W-9s, certificates of insurance, and payment records. Track job-related revenue, labor, materials, subcontractor costs, and other project expenses. Assist with job-costing reports and project profitability reviews. Maintain organized receipts, invoices, purchase records, lien waivers, and supporting documentation. Perform additional bookkeeping and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and accounting. Proficiency with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software, Leap CRM Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
