The Position: We are looking for an Accountant, Senior, who will be providing support for Field Support Activity (FSA) which is also a Budget Submitting Office (BSO) in the Department of Navy..

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

The Description:

The successful candidate will work with BSO-11 clients to:

• Examine/develop processes to support the accounting department to include new processes of Navy ERP.
• Participate in working groups related to G-Invoicing, Budget Execution Valuation (BEV), FERMC (UMT, AP AR, IGTs, and Tie-Points).
• Update and maintain standard operating procedures and policies.
• Perform data analysis related to funding, month end close, year-end close.
• Perform compilation and review of field level journal vouchers.
• Review and reconcile monthly treasury reports when compared to the general ledger.
• Understand the behavior and functionality of various general ledger accounts.
• Review and analyze trial balances for pre-close and post-close analysis.
• Review and research unmatched transactions.
• Support other accounting duties as needed.

Education & Experience:

• Active DoW Secret Clearance, required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent degree.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS: Associate's degree with eight (8) years of experience.
• 8+ years of accounting, audit, and/or Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience
• Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) experience
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills to include performing financial analysis.
• Self-Driven and efficient
• Detailed Oriented
• Analytical Skills
• Good Communication Skills
• Works well on team projects

Travel:

• On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
