Staff Accountant II

Process and support Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable, invoicing, cash applications, bank reconciliations, and collections activities Prepare account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve reconciliation items Participate in month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Prepare and support standard daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and schedules Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records Perform inventory accounting and reporting activities Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Assist with internal and external audits Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to support business objectives Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field Two (2) + years of progressive accounting experience Proven experience with AP, AR, account reconciliations, and general accounting Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices Experience using ERP or financial accounting systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to build positive working relationships across the organization Preferred Qualifications: Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial accounting experience Inventory accounting experiences Experience working in a growth-oriented business environment Benefits Why join Somic Packaging, Inc?
