What You'll Do:

As a Travel RN in the OR/Surgery unit, you will coordinate and deliver comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. Your expertise ensures patient safety, comfort, and high-quality outcomes while collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Your role is vital in maintaining a sterile environment, managing patient monitoring, and responding swiftly to intraoperative needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in New Mexico or an active Compact state license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA
• Proven experience in perioperative nursing, with a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to handle high-stress situations efficiently and calmly

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Advanced certifications or specialized training in perioperative care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of recent operating room experience in a hospital setting
• Familiarity with various surgical specialties

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel and work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Ability to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations
• Valid licensure and certifications as specified
