Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in high-risk obstetrics License: Current RN license Certifications: Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate Must-Have: High-risk obstetrical bedside training Experience in circulating during c-sections Ability to recover high acuity patients Description: This position is for a Travel RN in Labor and Delivery. The role involves working in a high-risk obstetrical unit. The expected patient ratios are 2:1 and 3:1 in triage. Cervical ripening is 2:1, with stable postpartum magnesium patients at 2:1. Unstable magnesium or laboring patients require a 1:1 ratio. Pitocin or active labor patients will also be 1:1. Early labor patients will have a 2:1 ratio. The unit comprises 24 beds. The documentation system is Meditech and CPN. There may be floating required to the antepartum unit within the women’s care department. The dress code requires scrubs, and nail policies are strict. Clean and healthy nails are a must, with no artificial nails allowed. Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer. Visible body art should be covered whenever possible. Piercings other than ears are prohibited. Candidates should have strong experience in high-risk labor and delivery care.
