Project Lead

Job Summary The Project Lead is the “voice of the customer” and responsible for the customer experience from the estimate to on‑site delivery. The role represents the customer's voice through all phases of a sales order to ensure 100 % customer satisfaction and oversee project costs, compliance, and coordination with engineering, production, transportation, and vendors. Job Location This position is located at our plant in Mansfield, TX. Job Responsibilities Serve as the “voice of the customer” at OI facilities. Manage multiple sales orders concurrently. Facilitate a Turnover/Kick‑Off meeting with the C.O.M, O.S.R., and Est. at the point of sale to review scope, estimates, and schedule the “Customer Ship Date” in AX. Act as point of contact for the customer from sales‑order assignment until on‑site delivery, providing status updates and coordinating with production. Provide direction and oversight to engineering, production planning, transportation, procurement, and accounting teams. Prepare change‑order proposals promptly, whether requested by owner/engineer or generated by OI. Monitor progress, troubleshoot proactively, offer technical advice, and remove obstacles that could cause schedule delays. Promote continuous improvement of processes and systems. Coordinate site visits and resolve issues from sales to completion, including change orders, schedule adjustments, and information collection. Manage required submittals and approvals with the customer. Communicate initial delivery needs to the Transportation department and follow up as needed. Work with other project managers and the plant manager to synchronize long‑term schedules and minimize operational conflicts. Estimate projects and provide bids to sales by required dates. Contact vendors for pricing when necessary. Collaborate with sales, inside sales, operations, and management. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Civil Engineering preferred. Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience. Demonstrated ability to manage several large, complex projects simultaneously. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to read and work from production schematics and engineering drawings. Strong organizational and communication skills. Experience in the construction or precast‑concrete industry.
