Job Summary Materials Management Analyst 3 is an experienced-level position that requires a high level of analytical, critical thinking, creativity, organization, and prioritization. The incumbent functions independently with minimal supervision and technical direction. Incumbent has direct responsibility for planning, coordination, and management for a variety of complex projects and initiatives for all departments in Heart and Vascular Center. Ability to critically think and analyze data. Knowledge of medical terminology. Interpersonal skills to interact with wide variety of individuals, co-workers, patients, physicians, and vendors. Ability to work independently, prioritize, complete projects, and meet deadlines. Ability to problem solve to evaluate problems and recommend / implement solutions. Detail oriented and recognizing discrepancies, making appropriate and accurate corrections. Skills to develop standard monitoring and reporting systems related to supply utilization patterns, costs and similar issues. Key Responsibilities 70% - Supply Mangement 30% - Inventory Management Department Overview Materials Management Analyst 3 for Supply Chain Clinical Inventory, Main hospital, 48X Outpatient Surgery and Heart and Vascular Center, is responsible for inventory management duties in accordance with the Policy of the University of California. This position reports to the Materials Management Manager 1 for SC Clinical Inventory. The incumbent will have responsibility for systems of management of the Lawson perpetual inventory database, monitor supply utilization, PAR levels, usage reports and expenses. Initiating / running purchase reports and assisting with the physical stocking and counting of supply inventory is required for all departments in SC Clinical Inventory department.
