Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric patients with complex medical needs. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in accordance with standards of care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, and proficiency with the Epic charting system
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience and LTAC experience are preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information:
  • The ICU handles adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including GI bleed, DKA, post-cardiac PCI, COPD/CHF exacerbation, acute respiratory failure including COVID, RSV, influenza, sepsis, and various post-surgical cases
  • The unit utilizes advanced equipment such as CRRT, IABP, and Impella (assignment with these devices is not expected for travelers)
  • Daily census averages 11 patients, with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and therapy teams
  • Onboarding includes 48 hours of orientation and necessary compliance documentation due 10 days prior to start date
