Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position in a short-term acute care facility located in a busy medical environment. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across a newly designated surgical and emergency general surgery unit. The position includes working a day shift with an expectation of float coverage between units and adhering to unit-specific protocols. Job Details: Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 10/05/2026 and ending on 01/04/2027. Required Qualifications: Valid license or compact license in state, at least 1 year of RN experience, experience working in a medical surgical or telehealth unit, and familiarity with Epic electronic charting system. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in trauma level II or acute care surgery units, proficiency with complex clinical procedures such as blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, and wound care. Additional Information: The position involves supporting an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and social services. Candidates should be comfortable managing patients with diagnoses such as emergency general surgery, med-surg overflow, and post-operative care. Floating between units is expected, and flexibility to work holidays is required.
