Sr. Lead Software Engineer, Cloud Financial Management

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Advanced expertise in React.js front-end development, including component-driven architecture, state management, performance optimization, and responsive, accessible interfaces
• Hands-on experience modernizing front-end applications, such as migrating legacy interfaces to React, improving build tools and CI/CD, and automating UI tests, builds, releases, and regression prevention
• Advanced proficiency in Java or Python
• Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools, and establishing practices for checking AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; ability to coach engineers in safe, compliant adoption
• Ability to independently address design and functionality challenges with minimal oversight
• Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile practices, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
• In-depth knowledge of financial services and related IT systems
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Preferred: Experience with end-to-end testing using Playwright or similar tools
• Preferred: Experience with charting or data visualization libraries such as D3, Highcharts, or ECharts, and analytics-style interfaces
• Preferred: Experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs and handling large datasets, including performance, pagination or virtualization, caching, and error handling

• Provide technical guidance and direction to business partners, technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develop secure, high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
• Promote and govern approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Establish measurable validation standards for AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing; encourage reuse of proven patterns and automation across the software delivery toolchain
• Use Software Development Life Cycle tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Make decisions that shape product design, application functionality, technical operations, and processes
• Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more focus areas
• Advocate for firmwide SDLC frameworks, tools, and practices within the engineering community
• Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate recurring issues and improve the operational stability of applications and systems
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical capabilities, and suitability for existing systems and information architecture
