About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Mergers and Acquisitions to spearhead the management of M&A activities as it continues to grow and expand into new markets. The successful candidate will be a proactive and self-driven leader, with a primary focus on leading asset purchase agreement negotiations, acquisition due diligence, and valuation and sensitivity analysis. This role is pivotal in managing projects from MIPA Closing to NTP, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy M&A, project development, project finance, and capital markets, particularly in the areas of DG and community solar. Key responsibilities for the Vice President of M&A include leading term sheet and purchase/partnership agreement negotiations, owning asset/portfolio valuation, and managing deal teams to support transaction execution. The role also involves leading underwriting of new and in-process investments, as well as new opportunity origination through developer and broker relationships. The candidate should have a strong network across DG and community solar project developers, a proven track record of successful project acquisitions, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Qualifications for this position include 5-10+ years of relevant experience, expertise in transaction documentation and due diligence, and a high degree of comfort with renewable energy asset valuation modeling. The role requires exceptional analytical skills, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple deals with a collaborative and mission-oriented approach.
